  • 1977 – Bojangles opens its first location in Charlotte, NC, offering delicious fried chicken, biscuits, and more.
  • 1987 – Introduces the Bo-Berry Biscuits and Seasoned Fries, which quickly become fan favorites.
  • 1989 – The Chicken Supremes® are introduced, and Bojangles remains open even during the devastating Hurricane Hugo.
  • 1993 – Launches Bo-tato Rounds®, adding another crispy favorite to the menu.
  • 2003—Unveils the catchy “GottaWannaNeedaGettaHava®” tagline that becomes a part of Bojangles’ identity.
  • 2008—Bojangles expands its reach beyond the streets with its first airport location at Charlotte Douglas International Airport.
